The Kulture Ball XI

Boutwell Auditorium | Birmingham, AL | August 16, 2025

Custom 3D KultureCity logo stage design by Epic

The 11th Annual Kulture Ball was designed to celebrate inclusion, connection, and community through powerful storytelling and live entertainment. Hosted by KultureCity, the event brought together donors, advocates, and partners from across the country to raise awareness and support for sensory accessibility initiatives.

The Challenge

As a long-time production partner, Epic was trusted to bring the vision to life with creativity, precision, and heart. The team transformed Birmingham’s historic Boutwell Auditorium into a dynamic multi-stage experience that reflected the spirit of the cause and the energy of the night. Working within a tight timeline and the constraints of an older venue, collaboration and attention to detail were essential at every step.

The Approach

Epic provided full-scale production and scenic design, including audio, lighting, video, staging, drape, and soft goods. The layout featured two active stages, creating what Gary described as a “visual tennis match” that kept the audience fully engaged throughout the evening. Each transition was carefully crafted to maintain flow between performances, speeches, and musical moments.

A custom 3D KultureCity logo became the centerpiece of the stage design, serving as both an art piece and a visual connection to the brand. Every detail was considered to elevate the guest experience and celebrate the organization’s mission. Despite the challenges of the venue, Epic’s production team delivered a seamless event through thoughtful planning, clear communication, and steady execution.

The Result

With Train headlining the show and powerful moments shared by KultureCity’s founders, The Kulture Ball XI struck the perfect balance between entertainment and purpose. Guests left inspired by both the message and the experience, united in support of a cause that’s already supported over 3.2 million individuals worldwide.

For Epic, it was another meaningful collaboration built on trust, creativity, and the shared belief that live events can move people and make an impact that lasts.
